Today, the runner (office grunt/organizer) hand-delivered a veggie burger to me. This is in an office of roughly 100 people, where the catered lunch was burgers with no realistic vegetarian option, and I'm the only vegetarian I can think of. I was so shocked I couldn't remember if I had thanked him.* I think my worldview has actually become too cynical and needs revising.
*A coworker told me he thinks I did.
